See All ReviewsI live near to the restaurant and usually door dash. It’s always delish. I love the El Potro fajitas. Through DoorDash - always fresh. In house, unbelievable. David got to watch futbol. ⚽️ I didn’t get a shot of Dave’s shrimp chimichanga b/c it was murdered immediately. Nicholas the owner is very sweet. 10/10 will dine in for the experience.
The food was good as were the prices. The chicken quesadillas were generously sized and my friend already wants to go back! I had the Carne Asada burrito which was great, and the chips were fresh, salsa was good. A little disappointed in the Margarita which tastes like a powdered base - but I did not confirm that and I drank it all anyway lol. Service was good. Not much ambiance, it's in a storefront just east of McCausland on Manchester. Will definitely be going back to try several other favorites like Chili Verde and the Rellenos.
Tried El Potro, when my go-to Greek restaurant had closed early unexpectedly for the evening. I got the Burrito De Pollo Fajita. Chicken was juicy and tender. Peppers were nice and fresh. Lots of warm queso cheese sauce on top. Came with black beans, which were very good. I also asked for a side of rice. The chips and salsa were very good as well. The salsa tasted authentic and had a nice level of flavor and spice. I will definitely return to El Potro with friends and family as it has earned a spot on my go-to Mexican restaurants list!
